Eads St., Suite 2000, Arlington, VA             22202 Owner       Arlington County, VA Contract Value       Privately Negotiated                    Construction of Secondary Clarifier #8       Project Description: Alberici Constructors, Inc. has been contracted by the Arlington County, Virginia to expand and upgrade their current Water Pollution Control Plant. The project will expand the biological treatment capacity of the plant from 30 mgd to 90 mgd. American Contracting has been subcontracted to perform the majority of the process mechanical work, including the following: Nine Secondary Clarifiers Eight Primary Clarifiers One Secondary Service Pump Station Six Advanced Aeration Tanks New Sluice and Slide Gates in new advanced aeration tanks. Mechanical Equipment for three 140' diameter secondary clarifiers Mechanical piping, pumps and gates in a new mixed liquor distribution structure and foam collection pump station. American Contracting has worked closely with Alberici and Arlington County in order to perform their work and maintain smooth plant operations.
