Project Description

This Little Falls Run project is the first phase of the wastewater treatment plant’s upgrade process. The project’s objective is to enhance the efficiency of the nutrient removal system by installing new blowers and air piping.

Project highlights include:
  • Four new precast post-tensioned concrete sludge storage silos
  • Two new UV channels with UV instrumentation and equipment
  • New air blowers and over 2,000 linear feet of ductile iron air piping
  • Demolition and installation of new bar screening equipment
  • Aeration diffusers in the existing sludge storage silos
  • New 2,500 kw generator and new 8,000 fuel tank
  • The installation of new UV channels not only gives the plant backup in case one set of UV  instrumentation is disabled, but it allows for increased outflow once the phase II upgrade is completed in the future.
