Project Description

American Contracting constructed a complete new 700 square-foot water booster pump station including tie-ins to existing water mains.  We installed the underground force main piping, formed and placed the concrete foundation and slab on grade for the new masonry building.  We also self-performed the complete interior mechanical piping installation, including the supply and installation of three water booster pumps with variable frequency drives.  The work also included complete electrical and instrumentation control systems.  
 
Project highlights include:
  • Complete construction of a new booster pump station
  • Process piping tie-ins to existing utilities with minimal shutdowns
  • Installation of 800 linear feet of 8” DIP force main
  • Road work including lane closures and traffic control
  • Work on a public golf course, public protection
  • Installation of three 7.5 HP horizontal centrifugal pumps with VFDs
