The following is a general description of the project:
Replacement of an existing sand mound system, which serves the Elementary School and Fire Station, with a package treatment system. The project involves construction of a new wastewater treatment building; installation and startup of a new Membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR) treatment process; demolition of existing septic tanks and effluent pumping stations on school and fire department properties; demolition
of distribution structures and UV Building; disposal of demolished materials; abandonment of an existing underground sand filter; construction of a new concrete flow equalization tank and sludge holding tank; installation of new underground piping; installation of a new electrical service and emergency back-up generator; installation of a new potable water well; installation of new radio-based SCADA and telemetry system; construction of new stormwater management facilities; erosion and sediment control measures; site grading; new paving; and site restoration.
This contract includes both MBE and WBE requirements and qualified firms are encouraged to apply.
