Allegany County - Sewer System Improvements

The project is divided into four separate prime contracts: Contract 1 - General Construction; Contract 2 - Plumbing/Mechanical Construction; Contract 3 - Electrical Construction; and Contract 4 - Site Trades. Work includes a new wastewater collection system with gravity sewers, manholes, a pump station and force mains installed by open trench and directional drilling, plus a new attached-growth wastewater treatment plant. Treatment facilities include a new building, screening, primary treatment, equalization/dosing pumps, moving bed bioreactor (MBBR), aeration, secondary clarification, sludge pumping, sand filtration, UV disinfection, laboratory equipment, site work and related appurtenances.
