Downing Woods PS Improvements
ACE is bidding the single prime contract for the City of Durham’s Downing Woods and Marywood Lift Station Improvements.
The work replaces the existing lift stations with duplex submersible pumping systems. Both sites include demolition and abandonment of existing facilities, temporary bypass pumping, wet well and valve vault work, pumps, site piping, valves and fittings, permanent bypass/pigging facilities, generators and automatic transfer switches, SCADA and pump control panels, electrical racks and equipment, fencing, painting, erosion control and site restoration. Marywood also includes a wet well top, flow meter and vault, channel grinder and vault, bypass/pigging vault and jib crane.
Project locations: Downing Woods Lift Station, 109 Blakely Dr; Marywood Lift Station, 3206 Marywood Dr, City of Durham, North Carolina.
Owner bid deadline: October 22, 2026 at 1:00 PM Eastern. Non-mandatory pre-bid conference: October 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM Eastern. The pre-bid conference and bid opening are at the Department of Water Management, Room 2002 C, 1600 Mist Lake Drive, Durham, NC.
Contract duration: 300 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion and 330 calendar days to final completion from Notice to Proceed.
