ACE is bidding the HRSD Atlantic Treatment Plant Polymer System Replacement and Reliability and Odor Control Improvements for HRSD in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Engineers are HDR and Black & Veatch.

Bid Package 1 (BP-1) includes replacing the GBT and pre-dewatering bulk dry polymer preparation units, piping, transfer pump and associated appurtenances, with connection to and integration with existing equipment, polymer tanks and plant service piping; a new emulsion polymer preparation unit and piping; and furnishing and installing equipment, pipelines, instrumentation and controls, and electrical distribution and control equipment.

Bid Package 5 (BP-5) includes pre-dewatering polymer improvements; demolition of the high purity oxygen tanks; installation of owner-procured pre-dewatering screw conveyors, a pre-dewatered cake storage hopper and pulper feed pumps; replacement of the candlestick biogas flares with enclosed flares; replacement of peripheral digester mixers; replacement of floating digester covers with concrete dome covers; digester gas, surface withdrawal and emergency overflow piping improvements; and replacement of Digester Control Building MCC-A5 and MCC-A7 with a new MCC-SHB.
