The Work to be performed under these Contract Documents is generally described as follows:
B. Base Bid
1. Demolition of existing disc aerators in the oxidation ditch and installation of new disc aerators, each with a dedicated drive and VFD. Replacement of influent, drain, and RAS valves in oxidation ditch. Replacement of sluice gates in oxidation ditch. Replacement of denitrification pump and guiderails in oxidation ditch. Concrete repair as needed in oxidation ditch on unit price basis.
2. Installation of secondary clarifier drain line, one for each clarifier.
3. Demolition of existing aerator in the waste sludge day tank and installation of jet mixing system. Replacement of existing submersible sludge pump.
4. Installation of sludge piping and valves from waste sludge day tank to existing truck loadout station.
5. Demolition of existing chemical bulk storage tanks, pipes, eye wash station, and feed pumps, and installation of chemical bulk storage tanks, pipes, recirculation pump, and eyewash stations.
6. Demolition of existing chemical feed day tanks and pump equipment, and installation of chemical metering skid with new containment, pumps, and piping. Installation of instantaneous water heater and tepid water piping to existing and proposed eyewash stations. Demolition of existing polymer system. Demolition of existing HVAC and installation of new HVAC equipment.
7. Equalization Tank No. 1 Improvements. Installation of jet aeration system in Equalization Tank No. 1. Installation of equipment platforms. Installation of blowers and air piping for jet aeration air supply. Installation of blowers canopy and supports pads. Installation of return activated sludge piping from existing RAS line branch to Equalization Tank No. 1. Installation of mixed liquor line from Equalization Tank No. 1 to existing clarifier distribution box. Installation of new electrically actuated eccentric plug valve on existing 24” overflow piping from EQ Tank No. 2.
8. Installation of electrically actuated valves on existing WAS piping. Installation of precast vault with flow meter on existing WAS line.
9. Installation of instruments, PLC programming and configuration for I/O, and SCADA HMI modifications as necessary for new equipment.
10. Installation of new utility transformer. Installation of new electrical building. Demolition of MCC-1 and MCC-2 in existing operations building electrical room.
11. Installation of new ductbank and conduit from new electrical building to connect equipment to new electrical building. Installation of new ductbank and conduit from existing EMH-2 to blowers.
12. Installation of miscellaneous site work, site piping and appurtenances.
13. Structural rehabilitation of existing Oxidation Ditch consisting of concrete surface repair.
14. Asphalt resurfacing of plant drive.
