I’m proud to come to work everyday knowing that the work we do impacts real people through access to clean drinking water and bettering the waterways in our local communities. There are creeks, lakes, and rivers that I walk, hike, and run around in where I live that are fed by projects I’ve worked on, and it’s fulfilling to know I contributed in some way. We aren’t working on projects far away – the impacts of our work are local.
I would advise anyone who joins the industry to be outgoing, ambitious, and curious. The industry is large and there are so many types of projects – especially with technologies constantly evolving. Talk to anyone and everyone you meet and take in the knowledge so that you can continue to grow, feed the curiosity, and spurn more ideas for building not only yourself, but better projects, and better communities.
