The following is a general description of the project:

Work for this project include all material and labor to facilitate the Huguenot PS VFD, Generator & DPC Replacement project. Work under this contract includes furnishing and installing all appurtenant and incidental materials and equipment, complete and in-place, fully operational and in accordance with the Contract Documents. A. The overall summary scope of work for the project generally includes, but is not limited to the following:
1) Replacement of the existing 175kW natural gas generator with a new 175kW, 480/277V, 3-phase natural gas generator.
2) Replacement of the existing Bristol Babcock Distributed Process Controller (DPC) with Schneider Electric Modicon Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and the associated electrical, controls and instrumentation work required to support the replacement of the control systems.
3) Provide programming modifications to the existing SCADA master PLCs, SCADA servers, workstations, and water usage and billing system which utilizes XLReporter to create daily and monthly reports.
4) Replacement of the existing two VFDs with new 100HP VFDs.
5) Replacement of the existing ATS with a new 400A, 3 Phase, 4 pole ATS.
6) Installation of new 480-volt power distribution panel.
7) Install connections including the hand hole, electric conduit and conductors for the integration of the signal/hardwired IO between the Huguenot Pumping Station and the new Chesterfield Huguenot Pumping Station.
8) Coordination with the electric utility company for the relocation of the power meter and demolition of the associated obsolete equipment. 9) Furnishing of all labor, material, superintendence, plant, power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, services and other means of construction necessary or proper for the performance and completion of the work.
10) Final inspection, testing, and acceptance by Owner and independent inspectors as required when returning to service. B. Construction performance time is 600 consecutive calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed to 100% final completion inclusive of preconstruction activities and days for anticipated adverse weather. C. All work shall be performed utilizing the City of Richmond and the Project Book Specifications. D. Contractor must provide to the City a construction schedule created in Microsoft Project or Primavera software, within fourteen (14) calendar days following the date set for the pre-construction meeting.
