The following is a general description of the project:

Work of this contract comprises the Project, which consists of demolition of structures, equipment, piping, and related material in areas of construction as specified in the technical specifications and construction drawings. The Project also consists of furnishing and installing a new Control Building; modifications for the existing Headworks including new influent screens; new grit removal system; new Preliminary Treatment Building to house screenings dumpsters, grit classifier and dumpster, and the new alkalinity storage and feed system; new Aeration Reactor Distribution Box and Aeration Reactor influent flow monitoring vaults; improvements to the existing Aeration Reactors to include the addition of an emergency overflow structure; new Post Anoxic Tanks; modifications to the existing Tertiary Filtration structure to include the installation of new disc cloth filters; replacing the existing UV system; new Chemical Building and Storage (Coagulant, Carbon); new dewatering process to be installed in an addition to the existing Dewatering Building; new sludge heating process for the existing Sludge Storage Silos; improvements to the Sludge Storage Silos; improvements to the Truck Dump Pump Station; replacement of existing MCCs; replacement of existing HVAC equipment in the Dewatering Building and the Utility Building; new security cameras; a temporary access gate; and improvements to the electrical and control system for the Drain Pump Station. The Project also includes site improvements, expansion of existing electrical power distribution, improvements to existing SCADA systems, and other proposed work as delineated in the plans and specifications.
