The following is a general description of the project:
Work of this contract comprises the Project, for Gravity Thickener No. 1 and No. 2
Improvements at the Mattawoman Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project includes the
replacement of all mechanical and electrical components associated with Gravity Thickeners No.
1 and No. 2, replacement of existing Thickened Sludge Pumps No. 1 and No. 3, replacement of
existing Gravity Thickener Scum Pumps for Gravity Thickeners No. 1 and No. 2, miscellaneous
piping modifications within Gravity Thickeners No. 1 and No. 2 Pipe Gallery, and the
construction of a new Gravity Thickener Influent Distribution Box.
